Now that Spring has approached us, the warm weather is constantly reminding me of what is to come: Summer 2012. After turning 30 and having my second child last year, I don’t know if I am looking forward to Summer with the same anticipation as I have in the years before. I confessed this to some of my staff, and was surprised by how many of them felt the same way. That’s when a light bulb went off…
As the founder of Valina, I feel as though I have a duty to uphold a lifestyle built on health, wellness and beauty. When my staff confessed their concerns to me about their body images in concern to their health, I knew right away this is probably something many women face and can be a embarrassed or shy to admit. Let me tell you, there is no reason to!
For the last two weeks, I have been making a conscious effort to fit in an exercise regimen of 1.5 hours for 4 days a week. This isn’t easy, I, like you, have a hectic schedule as well. With 2 businesses, a young family, finding an hour and a half of free time is not only borderline impossible, but even a little disheartening to me. However, I have done it.
In addition to the exercise, I have implemented a few other wellness treatments to the spa to help me look and feel like I’m still in my 20′s! I am now beginning a mandatory bi weekly regimen of:
- Slimming, firming, seaweed body mask, which reduces cellulite and is super hydrating, and serves as a detox.
- Sunless spray tan, to prepare my sun kissed bronze without the harmful effects of the sun’s UV rays
- Weekly conditioning treatments to restore the health of my hair during this shocking change my body is experiencing
With these small changes, I hope to see I huge difference! I am already noticing a change with the aid of a healthy diet and religious exercise. I hope you all will find inspiration from my story, this is why I am offering these services and more in our spotlight for this week!
